Hand delivering item

Question

I have sold a jacket and the person has paid already and £3 postage.

It turns out they live less than a mile from my house and I have offered to hand deliver it to them (too large for letterbox)

How do I do this? Proof of delivery etc.. i cant seem to alter anything and it says to print label

Ideally and depending on value it would be best to cancel/refund the current transaction and relist as collection only for the buyer to buy again. Then treat as a collection item and get the code from the buyer when you drop it off to prove they have the item.

However, if it's only a few pounds you could just go ahead but may have to wait 14 days to get the payment from ebay. Assuming the buyer paid for the postage they will be automatically refunded for that unused label in 30 days. If you click on print label it will mark the item as dispatched.

It's a bad idea to hand deliver an item listed for postage. You will have no proof of delivery and will have to wait longer for payment.
