Guest check out issue
I made a purchase using guest checkout last week, the item I have received is incorrect. I have contacted the seller who say they cant find my order. The link ebay sent brings up an error, something along the lines of.... order not found. Please refresh page etc.
What do I do? I cant send the seller my address to look uo the order as ebay wont allow it and theres no way of speaking to someone at ebay to resolve.

OP9 months agoIve just had a look for the return item button on my confirmation email, there isnt one but ive noticed its not marked as delivered, it says due today but it definitely came yesterday.
Could that be causing my issue?
Its concerning me that the seller isnt able to see the order using order number that is on my confirmation email.

OP9 months agoThe problem ive got is when I follow the instructions on those help pages I get the message shown on the attachment.
Ebay recognises my order number to resend the confirmation but it can not find the order to allow me to return it

Mentor9 months agoJust follow instructions. When you buy as a guest, the only evidence you have of purchase is the email received from ebay. Return case must be made through the email. Also no feedback can be left or received.
Seller does not know you as fli200, ebay uses some invented name.
You would find it so much easier using your real account to buy, and not be anonymous to the seller.
When tracking shows as delivered, then the option should be there.

I dont mean to come across rude but did you read the full thread? I cant just follow instructions on the email to return because I get an error as shown on the screenshot I attached in a comment made earlier.
Basically, seller doesnt recognise order number given to me. Ebay recognises it enough to resend me the confirmation email but not when I click to view the order.
I have found a way to get a call back from ebay so hopefully they will sort it 🙏
