Global Shipping to a new member
I use Simple Delivery service, a new member (10 days / 1 feedback) from USA has just bid on a book costing £70.00, being in UK myself it will be via Global Shipping. For some reason I am thinking this is a scam, am I covered for the amount by eBay if buyer states "no delivery received" ?

Mentor4 months agoThe GSP hasn't been applied for the US if it's the Proust collection.
They wouldn't be able to pay for their purchase even if they win the auction.

To be honest I just looked at your listings and set the search to highest price first and realised it was the Proust set.

Mentor4 months agoIf the item was lost or damaged during the international delivery eBay would be responsible for refunding the buyer.
The bigger worry is that if the buyer claims an item sent by the GSP is not as described eBay would require you to arrange and pay for the item to be returned. Sellers have reported suspicions that some overseas buyers are inventing "not as described" cases, hoping that the cost and difficulty of arranging this will cause the seller to simply refund them and let them keep the item for free.
Selling on eBay is seldom risk-free.

Mentor4 months agoAs long as you have tracking to the global shipping hub you are protected against item not received claims. Simple delivery gives you added protection as long as you have proof it entered the courier system.
