Getting restricted for no reason !!!

I got suspended for 7 days over something I never even listed again and it feels really unfair. I sold PS4 controllers that turned out to be counterfeit and that was my mistake — I honestly didn't know. So when eBay gave me the 3-day restriction I accepted it and I completely stopped selling anything like it. I stayed away from that whole category entirely, never relisted it, never sold anything similar. My feedback stayed 100% positive the whole time and I kept my Above Standard seller status too.
Then I get hit with a seven-day ban for the exact same listing I already got a three-day restriction for — the very same one — and I literally can't do anything about it. I don't know what you want me to do because I can't even delete it, the item's already sold and the order's completely finished. There's no option to delete it, it's all done and gone, yet you've given me a seven-day restriction on top of the three days I already served for this exact same thing. It feels like I'm being punished twice for the same thing and there's literally nothing I can do to fix it because it's already sold.
I honestly don't know what else you want from me. I got restricted for three days for this listing, I accepted that, I learned from it, and I never listed anything like it again. Now randomly I get hit with seven more days for the exact same item that's already been sold and completed — I can't edit it, I can't remove it, I can't do anything at all. It just feels like if this keeps happening, I'm going to end up permanently banned over one stupid old listing that I can't even change anymore. It doesn't make sense and I don't know what more I'm supposed to do

Mentor1 week agoHave you contacted all of the buyers who bought a counterfeit PS4 controller from you, thinking it was genuine product? If Trading Standards get hold of this or Sony decide to take legal action you may find that a bigger issue.

Mentor1 week agoIt may be a bigger problem than just being restricted. eBay appears to have removed all of your recent sales from their database. This is serious.
Before selling again you need to make sure that you're complying with all their requirement. Another restriction could be permanent. If you're selling new items or buying stock to sell, you need to register as a business seller. As such, it's your responsibility to ensure that your items are authentic; "not knowing" that they may be counterfeit won't be accepted as an excuse.
As you're not an authorised distributor, some brands may not allow you to sell their products. If this applies to Sony it would explain why eBay apparently cancelled your listings even after they were completed. If you check their VeRO registration with eBay you will be able to find out what rights are protected.
Remember that you will also re required to pay fees or selling, and your buyers will have a right to return items for any reason.

Mentor1 week agoI believe Sony are a member of the Vero programme so they may have reported a number of your listings with the bans being commulative.
Before you list again you need to read Ebay's policies on what type of account you need to sell new items rather then old personal possessions.

Mentor1 week agoYou are not speaking to eBay here but to a members like yourself.
It seems the restriction was extended, and nothing you can do but to wait it out for it to expire to list again.
Be aware eBay messages than an item is counterfeit is not always the case the message is not clear. More often than not the item is protected by VERO regulations.
