Getting Paid for an item sent by mistake that the buyer would like to purchase
I sent the wrong item to a buyer who had paid. With their agreement of the buyer I sent the correct item which they have now recieved. The buyer would also like to but the original item that was sent in error. I am very happy with this outcome. Hope to I request the payment without breaching any ebay rules please?

As far as eBay is concerned, the item sent was not as described and you sent them a replacement without requiring the original to be returned. End of story.
Put it this way. If the buyer had simply kept both the original and the replacement for nothing, eBay would have given you no support if you wanted to be paid for it. If the buyer was willing to repay you, they wouldn't have been able to do this through eBay - it would have had to be a private arrangement between the two of you. I would say it's entirely up to you and your buyer what you now do about the paying for this replacement.

Mentor10 months agoNot possible unless you list and he buys and pays through ebay.
I suggest you list as collection, buyer will receive a code from ebay after paying, he gives code to you which when entered on ebay will complete transaction by showing as dispatched/received.
To avoid risk of someone else buying, I would suggest giving it a title of “listed for xxxx (first name of buyer).
