First ebay shop - questions when setting up listing
Summary: herseem02 is setting up their first eBay shop and is facing several issues. They need help with their company address as eBay recognizes their registered address for correspondence instead of their operating address. They also encounter currency issues with the site showing prices in dollars instead of pounds, and they cannot find Royal Mail as a delivery option, which seems to default to US options. Additionally, they have been flagged as a bot when trying to access help and support due to their fast typing.
I've used ebay for years but I'm setting up my first ebay shop to sell stuff I make. However, three issues have come up:
1) I have entered the registered address for my company as required, but it's only a registered address which is very common here in the UK and is for correspendence from the government only. I have a separate operating address. How can I get ebay to recognise my operating address instead of my registered address?
2) the currency sign is in $, even though I'm using ebay.co.uk, and my registered address is in the UK.
3) The postal options all appear to be US-based and Royal Mail does not feature anywhere. How can I get royal mail as a delivery method?
4) Oh, and now, I think because I type fast, when I click on 'help and support', it says 'we think you are a bot' and won't let me go any further! How the heck do I get round that?

Mentor1 month agoHi,
Q1 - I also have a reg.address & another that deals with posting & receiving mail for me. I went to my account information & entered addresses for posting & delivery addresses. Also, I entered the item's location address on my advert so eBay can estimate delivery time.
Q2 - I've had the dollar sign over the weekend, but I was able to list okay with £.
Q3 - The US postal options can appear if you have looked at an USA item for sale. If this happens, I exit eBay & Log in again.
Q4 - Try typing slower to see if it clears the 'we think you are a bot' & then go back to your normal typing speed.
