Hi, i have just spent most of the afternoon trying to find the postage price of sending a knife set with royal mail tracked 48 and age verification. I am obliged to add the age verification service because it's a bladed item. I am trying to keep down postage costs and decided tracked 48 (small parcel) is best. No-where can i find the cost for the age verification bit before buying the postage. I need to know because simple delivery is not an option apparently so i'm on my own with the postage calculation with this listing. Sometimes you feel ebay's just not worth the effort! Please advise is possible, thank you!

·5 months agoHave you tried the Royal Mail website? That is the place from where you will get accurate information.
You do need to use Click and Drop and will have to create an account if you don't already have one.
This is the key part, but the link will take you to the entire relevant page.
Restricted Bladed Items
Prohibited Bladed Items cannot be sent. However, other Knives or Blades as defined by s141A Criminal Justice Act 1988 or ‘Bladed Products’ as defined by s41 of the Offensive Weapons Act 2019 can be sent, provided certain conditions are met. These include but are not limited to any knife or knife blade, including cutlery knives, bread knives, knives that can be used for hobbies and trades (for instance, utility knives and snap-off cutters, gardening, camping, lock knives, bushcraft and farming tools with a blade or any other trade tool that could commonly be described as a knife), butcher knives (including meat cleavers), felling axes and razor blades.

OP5 months agothanks, but thats what ive been looking at, it tells you everything but how much the service will cost! there are no details of price on the usual price guides that ive found, just links to info that doesn't answer the question of cost.

·5 months agoI have just logged into my click and drop account and tried a dummy order.
Once you put the parcel size in (for any order) you get the options with age verification - you can use Tracked 24 or Tracked 48.

I have another problem now-i added free postage as someone else advised above-and ebay has barred my listing for policy violation ie i didnt add age verification postage onto it!!

OP5 months agoi just want to say, if anyone else is looking at this for a solution to the same problem-do not do this-i listed the set and put free postage (with out thinking) and ebay has now barred the listing for policy violation-because i didnt add an age verification postal service.
