Fees charged on my account

Hi

I am selling items and when I am checking my balance I see considerable less funds that are available. After 24 hours the amount as decreased and I am unable to withdraw any funds. A recent sale of a book I was unable to draw on any funds; when I check my account I had only £1.66 in the account from the sale.

Why is this happening?

Are they auction with reserves on them?
