Fees
Hi I sold a car but the winning bidder decided that he’d changed his mind within a few hours. I then relisted and I’ve been charged £14.99 again even though it wasn’t my fault and I still had 8 days to run on the original listing

Mentor5 months agoIt's frustrating I know, but the listing fee for a motor vehicle is not refundable, whatever happens. Basically, you're just paying eBay to advertise it, as you would if you placed an ad anywhere else. There is no guarantee that it will sell, or that the winner will pay.
The important point is that unless you cancel the original sale eBay will also charge you a final value fee based on the price the winning bidder won it for.
The cancellation procedure to use when a buyer hasn't paid after four days is explained here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/payment-policies/unpaid-item-policy?id=4271
This will immediately cancel the sale. Neither party can leave feedback; any already left can be removed. The buyer will receive an unpaid item strike for not paying, which will stay on their account for a year. Two strikes mean that most sellers will automatically block them from bidding.
If you want to block them from bidding on your items again or to prevent them from sending you messages, see: https://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?BuyerBlockPreferences

Mentor5 months agoListing fees for vehicles are not refunded, If you relist, you pay again.
Same as ad in newspaper.
Cancel sale as unpaid after 4 days to get final fee back.
