Feedback score going down

Question

I buy and sell on eBay and a year ago received negative feedback as I didn't sell an item that I discovered to be broken. My feedback score went down to 98%. I thought over the last year of continuous buying and selling that this would improve but it's continued to go down to 97.5%.

I'm thinking of deleting my account

The % is calculated on number of negatives and number of feedback received. If number of new feedback received is less than are dropping off as over 12 months old the percentage will vary and look worse.

I believe it may be 13 months before the % reflects the end of showing the negative, as it takes place after the monthly review which I think is on the 20th of the month.

Your positive feedback score is calculated on feedback received in the last 12 months. Once the neg is over 12 months old it will no longer be considered in the calculation, and your feedback will return to 100%.

The neg will still be viewable in your feedback history, with your response.
