Faulty seeds
Summary: vintagereeds2 shared their experience of ordering hollyhock seeds from two different sellers on eBay. While seeds from one seller germinated well, those from another did not germinate at all. Despite reaching out to the seller twice, vintagereeds2 received no response and is inquiring about getting a refund a month after purchase. **peaseblossom** advised that eBay has a 30-day limit for claims and suggested contacting the payment provider if that period has passed. papso22 guided vintagereeds2 on how to open a case with eBay through the purchase record.
I ordered two packs of hollyhock seeds from different sellers on 23rd August to plant now as they are biennial. I set the seeds in identical trays in the same heated propagator and the seeds from one seller all germinated very quickly. Not a single seed from the other seller germinated and still have not.
I have sent two messages in the last six days to the seller of the duff seeds, but have not received any reply. I would like a refund for the totally useless seeds, but can eBay step in as it is now a month since purchase?
