False Claim Report Not Received Item
Summary: modelbuses2013 reported an issue where a buyer claimed not to have received a Smith Corona XD4700 Electric Typewriter, despite proof of delivery from the Royal Mail Parcel Delivery Service. They are concerned that eBay wrongly refunded the buyer who they believe made a false claim. tressygirl suggested that if tracking showed delivery within 30 days of a refund, eBay might reimburse the seller and advised contacting customer service for further assistance.
I have had a issue where a buyer purchased a Smith Corona XD4700 Electric Typewriter through my Sales and which was Dispatched with Royal Mail Parcel Delivery Service and Delivery was delivered on the Tuesday 26th May 2026, but the buyer reported to the ebay that she never received the item delivered and the ebay made a refund back to the buyer but checking all the tracking details and I found out the Royal Mail Parcel Delivery Service uploaded a proof of delivery of the parcel and the tracking information states that it was delivered and received by the buyer.
I think that the ebay has wrongly done the wrong issue with refunding the buyer and where the buyer has made a false claim saying that it was not delivered and proof of the delivery state of the delivery was delivered and she received the item delivered.

Mentor3 months agoWas this a Simple Delivery transaction? Then, if an item does not arrive on time, a buyer can open that case for item not received, eBay will refund them, and you get to keep the payout.
Or, did eBay force the refund from you?
If so, there was a new rule came in last November , that if the tracking shows delivery within 30 days of you, the seller refunding the buyer, eBay will reimburse the cost of the item back to you, and remove any bad feedbacks if left, regarding non delivery.
If this has happened, you may need to contact CS , as I'm not sure if the above is automatic, or best reported.
Contacting eBay Customer Services is not easy nowadays to get a live agent , but some have had success using the app, otherwise keep typing in ' I wish to speak to an agent' and this too can work.
Use this link to contact CS, if you can try at 8 a.m. on a weekday morning also more chance there for Dublin to answer.
