Fake USB sticks claiming to be able to hold re, ebay hasn't removed stating there's no problem
Fake USB sticks claiming to hold 2 terrabyte of storage ebay says there is nothing wrong with the listing's, I wonder how many people have been mislead with these listing's? Typically 2 terrabyte storage devices cost hundreds of pounds not 20 or 30 pounds. Please respond to this it will help in the investigation.

Mentor5 months agoFake UKB sticks with overstated storage capacity have been around on eBay for years. When one seller is reported and removed, another will soon take over.
eBay explains very clearly in the user agreement that they don't guarantee the truth of sellers' descriptions, the quality of items advertised or even that they will be safe and legal. But hardly anybody seems to read this. There are always buyers who can't see a too good to be true bargain when it's staring them in the face.
The better news is that fake USB devices will be covered by eBay's money back guarantee, provided the buyer discovers the scam in time to claim a refund within 30 days of delivery. eBay will (or says it will) now also make the seller responsible for the cost of return, even if it's to China, where most of these fakes originate.

Mentor5 months agoIf you are looking for other people who have been scammed you need to post on the buyer board where every member can respond. This board is limited to a few mentors.
The chances of finding other buyers are low though you may find some posts on the same issue.
Ebay's response is usually to say buyers have the money back guarantee as protection.

If many people are receiving these fake items, they should follow eBay's rules, that is, to open cases for item not as described, as not only will they receive a full refund as per eBay's 30 day MBG, Money Back Guarantee policy, but too many cases for the same reason, raises red flags to eBay, and that's when they investigate and can either remove the items or the seller from their site permanently.
