Fake JBL Speakers

I purchased two JBL Flip7 speakers in February 26. I have never been able to connect to them via the ap, but with house renovations and long working hours, the problem took a back seat. However just the other day i was reliably informed that the speakers are fake. I have written to the seller, via the Ebay portal, but have had no reply. I trusted Ebay to protect me from such overt selling of fraudulent items and would like them to help me rectify the situation - ie i would like to return these fake speakers and get a full refund. Any ideas? (I cant raise a case with Ebay via the portal, due to the lapsed time). Fingers crossed and many thanks in advance for any guidance.

You could try your payment provider but may be too late for them as well.
If it was UK business, contact citizens advice.
You should always check items on arrival and open ebay case within 30 days.

OPAug 10, 2026 at 8:36 PMdarn it .. i was hoping that wasnt the case. With life currently, 30 days is zooming past in what feels like 3 days! Lesson learnt, thats for sure. Thanks a million for taking the time to respond to my enquiry :-)
