Fake Item and eBay Guarantee
I bought a item from eBay in Feb 2025 , They failed but came with a 2 year warrenty , I went to the Manufacture who stated they are Fake and also very dangerous. Can I get a refund from eBay .
If so how as the item and seller are gone

Mentor2 weeks agoNo, I'm afraid you can't get a refund from eBay. Their money back guarantee only lasts for 30 days. This is a risky place for buyers who may only discover after this time limit has expired that that their items is fake or stolen.
Unfortunately it's even well beyond the normal time limit of about 120 days to get help from your payment provider.
Whether you have any other options may depend upon what you bought, it's price and who you bought it from. Best to start by consulting citizens advice. Good luck, but dut don't build up too many hopes.

OP2 weeks agoThank you , something expensive and “certified “ , it was the manufacture that highlighted it was fake , they are reaching out to eBay as the seller sold in excess of a 1000 units , They where a GHD product

Mentor2 weeks agoWow, that's an amazing amount of sales if its the same counterfeit and dangerous product, I always thought you could check the serial number on the GHD website. Presumably the seller is a UK registered business seller so I expect that they'll end up being looked at by Trading Standards.
