I have been sold a fake item sold as authentic what do I do , eBay says not to return but then it says send back for refund but can’t speak to anyone

Open a Not as described case, seller has to pay for return postage and refund in full.

When ebay provides methods to deal with this sort of problem, why ask them what to do and get given an answer which is impractical. Under the system you can only get a refund if you return.

Unless ebay told you how to get round this their answer would not get you a refund.

Have you opened an eBay return and selected the 'Doesn't match description or photos' reason?

To guarantee a refund you need to use the money back guarantee and return it.
