Failed xTool D8W Scanner

Hi. Last July I purchased a Xtool D8W vehicle diagnostic scanner which carried a guarantee of 2-years. The order number was 17-13343-04909. The unit experienced a recent update which rendered the tool unusable. I then contacted the company I thought to be responsible who said they didn’t sell it to me, so I went back into my eBay account found the order and linked my enquiry to them. Firstly, when sending the enquiry, the message fails to send and keeps asking you to try again, but it continues to fail. I guess eBay would have contact details of their own regarding this provider. As the tool was quite expensive, I believe this is a problem that eBay should help with.

Mentor2 weeks agoYou're way out of time to pursue a refund via eBay now. The problem with guarantees (or any seller promise) is that they're only as good as your ability to enforce them when required.
If your seller is a UK registered business seller you may want to take some free advice from one of the online consumer groups (National Consumer Service is a good one, lots of free legal advice available there) or Citizens Advice regarding pursuing this via a legal claim.

Mentor2 weeks agoeBay can only help with issues which occur to items sold on their site, which happen with 30 days of the item's last estimated date for delivery.
Go to your Purchase History, purchases go back 7 years. If this was a Business seller, their full contact details will be on your order details for that purchase.
Hopefully, any guarantee they offered was more than a year?
