Failed to buy it after clicking on buy it now
The buyer purchased the item, a car, and it clearly said cash on delivery, he made arrangements to collect it today but didn't show up. He has requested the sale be cancelled but to relist it I am required to pay the fees again. He should not have bought it if he had no intention of collecting it. We have lost an alternative sale as a result because he chose to click on buy it now!
I can't contact eBay as it doesn't fit into their AI nonsense! Soooo frustrating.

Mentor4 months agoBuyers are allowed 4 complete days to pay before you can open a Non Payment case ---listing fees are not refunded but you can recover any FVFs by opening an Unpaid case for non payment after 4 days and give timewasters a well deserved account defect/strike --- not shown but is effective in stopping/blocking persistent Non Payers >

Mentor4 months agoYou can't force a buyer to proceed with a purchase so you have no alternative but to cancel.
It's best to use classified ads for cars on ebay. They eliminate timewasters because you don't end the ad until the deal is done. They usually work out cheaper too at £19.99 flat fee. More info here:

Mentor4 months agoAll listing fees are payable sale or no sale.
You can compare it to advertising your car in your local paper, if it didn't sell, the paper would not refund you your advertising fees.
If relisting, and as recommended a Classified ad is the best way to go, just add all your listing fees, you will be charged again to relist, to your starting price of the car.
