exploding battery
Hi
I bought a 6V motorcycle battery back in October, the battery doesn't come charged
I filled the battery with acid to the required levels, some days later the battery had lost some of its charge
I put the battery on a slow charge.
Within minutes the side of the battery blew off spraying myself and two other motorcycles in the workshop with acid. I contacted the seller who responded by asking me to send photos to resolve the issue.
Unfortunately you can't send photos through ebay or an alternative contact email address.
How can I resolve this?

Mentor8 months agoAny dispute now is between you and the seller. eBay is only an online sales portal, they have no further involvement after its own, 30 day money back guarantee has expired.
You might still be in time to get help from your payment provider, e.g. credit or debit card issuer.
It looks as though you bought this from a seller in Germany. If you want to contact them, check any of their listings where you will find their full contact details.
Please bear in mind that eBay does warn buyers in the user agreement that they don't guarantee the quality of items sold here, or that they will be safe or even legal. Many other buyers have also learned this the hard way. Would you have bought this battery from a shop that stated this? Buying from unknown eBay sellers online isn't like like buying from a shop. eBay is a jungle.

OP8 months agothe trouble is the company although German, sells out of the UK and asked for photographs
to resolve the issue via ebay. I attached a photograph which is all you can attach via ebay and have had no response from either.

Mentor8 months agoYou cannot report this to eBay as they do not offer warranties or guarantees on items, just that they are just as described on receipt. If they are not, a buyer has 30 days under eBay's 30 day MBG, Money Back Guarantee policy, to return the item for a full refund.
If you bought this from a Private seller you are too late to claim a refund.
If purchased from a registered UK business, who offered a guarantee and is now not upholding this, then turn to Citizens Advice for your next steps, if you wish to take this further.
