Hey everyone! I'm curious about your experiences with shipping large packages through UPS, especially with dimensions like 154cm x 41cm x 12cm 14kg. Parcelforce is over by 4cm so I tried packlink pro and they only gave me UPS and can collect and drop to home address. I am on the phone to find out where the main depot is in Kent so I can drop off sooner than Tuesday when they have stated they would collect. 45 mins later and I am still on the phone to UPS. This makes me nervous!

OP6 days agoUpdate: I posted this without issue yesterday at their main Kent depot in dartford. It is a bit grotty and parcels are squashed all over the place. The lady who scanned it in told me to print off the A4 sheets and not use label printers and to pop them in label windows in future. I would rather just not go there again. The UPS drivers were driving recklessly around the depot with the doors all open and speeding across puddles and divots.

OP1 week agoUpdate: The main person I spoke to at UPS was totally useless but her supervisor told me that I can drop it off as a UPS customer centre which can take very large items without issue. My closest one is in Dartford Kent. Happy days!
Interestingly, the ebay packlink pro was about £3 more expensive than just using Packlink website quick quote. Also for multiple parcels, you need to generate the labels one by one. It will state there is no service available if you try 2 or more packages in one go.

Mentor1 week agoUps don’t take drop offs to their depots. A parcel of that size will be considered oversize by all couriers so will incur a premium.
