Excluded locations for postage not working properly anymore
Due to the Windsor agreement, I have Northern Ireland excluded in my postage locations. Not because I don't want to sell to NI (I always used too) but due to the extra work involved with the Windsor agreement for a small business. NI has been excluded until recently, even though it's "ticked" in the postage preferences. It works on my listings that are for courier, but the Royal Mail listings don't exclude NI even though it's excluded with a "tick". I have spoken to ebay 3 times now without it being resolved. They have confirmed that the settings are correct & it must be a technical/glitch issue. They say that they will get back to me & a week later they say it's now all sorted & it's still not!
Anyone else having this issue?

Mentor6 months agoRoyal Mail charge exactly the same price to Northern Ireland BT addresses as to any other part of the UK.
Most Couriers will add a surcharge for delivery as a so called 'Remote Location' deliveries to NI --- so often cheaper and quicker to use RM.

OP6 months agoThe price is not the issue. It's the fact that I have excluded NI due to the extra work that is required for the Windsor agreement. Which includes more work with HMRC & VAT numbers etc. For a small business, we don't sell enough into NI to warrant this.
My question is why has NI been excluded on my settings & it is still excluded, but ebay allows the sales to go through. It never used to, until recently. ebay have confirmed that the settings are correct, but it doesn't stop customers ordering from NI. This applies to my listings that use Royal Mail.
ebay said that it was a technical glitch & they will get fixed. They replied & said it was fixed, but it's not. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
