Evri removed the contents of my parcel
I sent a vehicle flywheel (weight about 5 kilos) to a buyer, but when the buyer opened the package they received a belt. I can see a photo of the proof of delivery on Evris website and it is clear from the photo that the parcel has been opened by Evri, and a new label attached on top of the Evri label that was automatically generated by Ebay. So someone at Evri has switched or stolen the contents of the parcel. I have contacted Evri but they haven't got back to me after several days.
The buyer has started a return. I called ebay on Saturday and they said that I would have to wait 3 days and then call again and they would step in. I've done that, but now they are saying accept the return and go back to them once I've got the parcel.
This is Evri's fault but looks like I could end up out of pocket, why can ebay not help?

Mentor6 months agoAssuming you used Simple Delivery if the buyer had used "Item damaged in delivery" as the reason for return ebay would have issued the refund and you keep the payment.
If the buyer is co-operative you could ask them to contact ebay to get the reason changed. You can send them this link to request a callback:
