Evri parcel showing as delivered, but buyer says they don't recognise the delivery photo
Summary: asakurawiw sold an item on eBay and used Evri for delivery. The tracking indicates that the parcel was delivered with a proof-of-delivery photo. However, the buyer claims they do not recognize the door in the photo and believe the item wasn't delivered to them. asakurawiw is uncertain about eBay's potential response if the buyer opens a case for an undelivered item.
I recently sold an item on eBay and purchased the postage through eBay using Evri.
The Evri tracking shows that the parcel was delivered, and there is a proof-of-delivery photo showing the parcel in front of a door.
The buyer has now contacted me saying that they don't recognise the door in the delivery photo and therefore believe the parcel hasn't been delivered to them.
I've checked the tracking and it definitely shows as delivered. I haven't refunded the buyer at this stage.
I'm unsure how eBay would handle this if the buyer opens an Item Not Received case.

Mentor39 minutes agoIf you used an eBay Simple Delivery label then eBay are responsible for refunding the buyer if they open an eBay item not received claim. You keep the original payment.
