Estimated shipping cost UK to USA
I am selling an item for which I received one bid. The buyer wants to know the approximate cost of shipping from the UK to the USA. Weight will be kg or less. If the buyer gets a high quote when s/he comes to pay using the GSP can I post it directly to the buyer using Royal Mail. Is Royal Mail less than the GSP ?

Mentor4 months agoIf this is the teapot Global shipping is shown on the US site, if eBay works correctly GSP will be shown to your buyer and you cannot change it to use your own postage, you get a comment something like 'you cannot send an invoice for this item as eBay is handling shipping'

Mentor4 months agoYou can certainly relist without GSP and use your own postage for the buyer, don't forget to allow for the international fees

OP4 months agoI ask the bidder to ask me to withdraw his/her bid. I then relist at
say £120 with free postage.
Is there any other way ?
I know I am taking a risk the bidder will bid again on the new listing.

OP4 months agoSorry to bother you again. The bidder has agreed to cancel their bid so I can relist it with free postage but we don't know how to do so.
I think it's best the request to cancel comes from the bidder as if I do it I could possibly incur fees according to eBay.

Mentor4 months agoGet a price from Royal Mail online. Don't forget they will also charge an extra 50p if booking direct for the customs clearance with US.
RM will always be cheaper than GSP which you will find will charge upto 3 times the cost. Royal Mail prices are generally cheaper tracked at a kilo and over on parcels these days.

OP4 months agoshipping from GSP to RM. Is that at the time of printing the label. Will
the RM option be available?
Regarding value, is it the selling price ?
