Ended listing with bid received
Hi All,
I had an item up for auction for the 3rd time (reducing the starting price each time it relisted), with no bids. A potential buyer contacted me to ask if there was a 'buy it now' option. I advised that there wasn't, but if they wanted to put in a bid of the starting price, I would end the listing, making the item theirs. I received the bid and ended the listing, only to discover that the listing had ended saying I had cancelled the buyer's bid! How can this be? I've done it before with no problems.
Grateful for any help on this.

Mentor8 months agoYou have to select the option to sell to highest bidder. Just relist for them to buy again.

OP8 months agoIt didn't give me that option on this occasion, even though I've successfully done it before. Any clues what I did wrong?

Mentor8 months agoNot sure but use a desktop if poss. The app doesn't always have all the options. You could relist as a Buy It Now as long as you arrange a time with the buyer.
