Summary: samrah-1418 is seeking advice regarding a problematic camera purchased on eBay in 2024 that now has charging issues. Unfortunately, they are unable to return it as the eBay 30-day Money Back Guarantee policy and most payment providers' protection periods have long expired. tressygirl suggests contacting Citizens Advice if the camera was purchased from a registered business that offered a longer guarantee. john1297576 emphasizes the 30-day limit of the eBay Money Back Guarantee policy.
hey ebayers please help me, i brought a camera in 2024 and i couldnt use it cos i went on holiday for a few weeks, when i came back i had an issue with the item and its charging. i should have tried to return it then but i think too many days passed, then i decided to keep it and use it but once again i tried it months later it wasnt charging. the seller wont respond to me, i dont know what to do, its so frustrating, please help! Mentor3 months agoCo you not understand that the ebay money back guarantee, is 30 days. not two years.

Mentor3 months agoYou cannot report this to eBay as they do not offer warranties or guarantees on items, just that they are just as described on receipt. If they are not, a buyer has 30 days under eBay's 30 day MBG, Money Back Guarantee policy, to return the item for a full refund.
You are too late to claim from your payment provider too as most have a 120 day buyer protection policy
If purchased from a registered UK business, who offered a longer guarantee than the above periods, and is now not upholding this, then turn to Citizens Advice for your next steps, if you wish to take this further.
