EISEMA
Courier attempted to deliver a pallet containing a motorcycle engine to the new EISEMA center this morning. Staff onsite refused to accept the delivery saying it was too big / too heavy. The courier has had to leave the site and take the pallet back to their local depot. Never had this issue with the old global shipping center. What should I do?

OP6 days agoI've had a look at the T&C's. they allow for a billable weight of 31.5kg (not actual weight) So what actual weight can you send? The old GSP service was much more straightforward.

Mentor6 days agoSounds to me like this may be someting to do with the size of the pallet, not the weight:
Maximum Weight 31.5kg billable weight (this refers to the packaged weight, using dimensional or actual weight, whichever is higher).
Maximum Dimensions Packages must not exceed 120cm × 60cm × 60cm. Items longer than 120cm in length are strictly prohibited.

OP1 week agoSo I just lose £520 because the new shipping center apparently have a different set of rules to the old service? The old eBay global shipping center always accepted engines. Is there something in the terms and conditions regarding weight and size restrictions for EISEMA?

OP1 week agoIs anybody else aware of these new restrictions, or know what they are? I certainly didn't, or I would never have sent the pallet.

Mentor1 week agoApart from making your own arrangements, there is nothing else you can do if the ebay system will not accept.
