Hi all, looking for advice on the best way to urgently escalate a serious issue with eBay UK.
eBay provided me with seller details for a transaction after I requested them for legal proceedings. The information supplied appears to have been incorrect and linked the order to the wrong person/account, which has now resulted in county court proceedings being issued against someone who says they were not the seller.
This potentially seems like a serious data/GDPR issue as personal details may have been disclosed incorrectly. I relied on the information provided by eBay in good faith and now have active court deadlines ongoing.
Does anyone know the best direct contact route/team for urgent escalation where I can actually get a prompt substantive response from eBay UK?
Thanks.

Mentor4 months agoTBH. I am surprised ebay gave you seller details.
If it was a business seller, all their details are on listings.
If it was wrong, then that is sellers fault, not ebays.
