Ebay still selling items not approved for the UK market
I bought a 6"+8" Handheld Mini Chainsaw Cordless 21V Electric Chain Saw Wood Cutter Pruning from ebay but then had a notice saying that the saw has not been approved for the UK on safety grounds and that I should not use it.
However, the seller has not responded to my request for a full refund and ebay is still advertising these small chain saws for sale, can you please advise me of what to do and why is ebay still allowing these saws to be sold?
Regards
Peter

If you read section 2 of the user agreement you will see that eBay specifically warns buyers that they do not guarantee that items sold here will be truthfully described, safe, legal or even exist.
If buyers would read this they might understand the risks they have accepted when buying here. Buying from unknown sellers on eBay is NOT like buying from the shops. eBay is a jungle.

Mentor7 months agoeBay is a selling platform, and sellers are responsible for the items that they list.
If the item is being shipped from outside the UK then the buyer is the importer and responsible.
The recall/safety notice from eBay is an informational one. If you received your item less than 30 days ago you can open an eBay return and get a full refund. If you paid with a debit/credit card you have 120 days to issue a chargeback via your card provider.
