Ebay saying parcel posted but it hasn't.
Summary: mtom944 mistakenly ordered an item on eBay and canceled it immediately, but the cancellation was refused, allegedly because the seller had shipped the item within 6 minutes, which seemed improbable. mtom944 discovered that eBay, rather than the seller, refused the cancellation, likely due to a promotional fee. The seller is willing to cancel, but eBay insists on a 20% promotion charge. mtom944 asks for advice on how to contact eBay's customer service to resolve this issue.
I ordered an item by mistake and cancelled it immediately.... Ebay put a message on that the seller had refused the cancellation because they had posted it. Which in 6 minutes seems nigh on impossible. Apparently it transpires that the seller hadn't even seen my message to cancel, it was Ebay that has posted the refusal to cancel. This seems to be because the item was premoted and Ebay want theirs money for the promotion. ( I had wondered why the item was pushed into the wrong category! ). I have spoken to the seller and he is quite happy to cancel but ebay still want their premotion charge, which to be honest looks quiet high at 20%.
So Ebay sent me thecmessage that the item was posted when it obviously wasn't. How do I get to contact their customer service directly. Thanks.

Mentor3 months agoIf seller is willing to cancel then that is what he should do, then you get refunded and he should get any fees refunded.
Sellers do not pay selling fees for items not sold, but if they do things the wrong way then they will end up paying..
If it is marked as dispatched, there should be the ability to mark as Not dispatched.
