Ebay refunded without looking at my claim !
Summary: tania9827 sold a white gold necklace and later received a refund claim from the buyer, claiming the chain broke while she was taking off her top. Despite providing evidence that the chain was damaged by the buyer's actions, including photos showing forceful damage, eBay refunded the buyer, leaving tania9827 out of pocket. *vyolla* advised reporting the item as returned damaged with photographic evidence, questioning if this had been done. tania9827 confirmed they reported it with photos but received no reply. *vyolla* suggested that the case might still be under review and inquired about when it was reported.

I sold a white gold necklace, 16in hollow fine chain, the lady purchased it and sent me photos of her wearing it saying how happy she was with her buy.
I did notice in the photos she hung a pendant off the chain which i thought was a little big for the chain , but its her choice ( i did say you could hand a pendant off it in my advert , but clearly common sense would tell you ,only a small one ) ..then 9 or so days later she messages and tells me that whilst taking her top off the chain broke at the clasp , then asks for a refund as it is not fit for purpose , iIargued the fact that she has admitted breaking it whilst taking her top off , probably the pendant catching the top more than the chain, anyway she put a claim into Ebay , i put my side forward , and after she sent it back to me , you can clearly see the clasp has ben ripped off both ends of the chain not just one end, so had some force , I put in a complaint because she says " i have tried to put it back together " YOU CANT
PUT IT BACK TOGETHER AT ALL " Its actually pulled the whole clasp off the chain , no ends to attach it to anymore.. Ebay has just refunded her !! I cannot believe it, and i am now out of pocket with a chain I cannot re sell ( only as scrap value ) No one hs even replied to my complaint , they just refunded her , where is the sellers protection ?

Mentor2 weeks agoAs soon as you received it back you should have reported it as arriving back damaged, along with before and after photos. Did you still lose out after doing this?

OP2 weeks agoi did and i have had no reply from that , i sent photos too

OP2 weeks agoIts been since last friday , i had to have refunded her her by 19th and i get an email saying shes been refunded, this is just from her side of the complaint, looks like my side has gone unnoticed , its soo annoying, she clearly broke the chain , but claimed it was faulty or not fit for purpose ? which is rubbish .
