Ebay recommendations and "Picks for you" on home page

When I log in to eBay or open the App, on the Home page, I am presented with a bottomless list of items that eBay thinks I may be interested in. I was looking for a mop and bucket for work and now when I open the App, I am presented with all sorts of mops, buckets and floor cleaning accessories; this is fine if I have an obsession for clean floors, but I have purchased my mop and bucket and now wish to move-on.
I would really like to clear or stop this list, but a Google search doesn't find very much on the subject or the things that the solutions suggest are either not there or don't work. I have deleted search history anything I can find has been deleted, but still the list remains. Even if I painstakingly delete each individual item, when I open the App again, they have all been replaced with similar items. It just seems impossible with no solution.
I have considered deleting my eBay account and starting again from scratch, but as a member for 25 years, I should just have more control over what it is doing.

But as soon as you look at an item, ebay &other sites will log it to send you similar listings.
Try downloading an adblocker, it helps, but won't stop it all together.
