Ebay randomly changing my postage options
I sell hand knitted baby hats (amongst other things). I charge between £3.90 and £4.00 and offer free postage as they weigh 60gms and can go as a large letter costing £1.55. I have now seen that ebay have randomly changed my listings to simple delivery charging the buyer £2.94. No wonder I am not selling anything. No-one is going to pay that price. Has anyone else had this problem?

·10 months agoWhen you monetise your hobby, as you have done with your hand-knitted hats, you need to have a business account to sell those items.
As stated, business accounts set their own postage.
You can still have a private account for selling your pre-owned clothes etc.

Do I need a business account?
If you plan to sell casually, such as selling items you no longer want, a private account is the best option.
If you want to sell large quantities, if you have items that you've made or bought to resell or if you already have a business outside of eBay, you’ll need to register a business account.

Making items to sell is a business activity, ebay requires people who do that to have a business account. Business accounts set their own postage.
