Ebay permantly restricted my account but won't tell me why
I recently setup an Ebay account for my business. I listed 4 items and then was restricted indefinitely with no explanation why. I even tried calling them but they couldn't tell me why either. I can see many other stores similar to mine on Ebay and I already have successful stores on Amazon and Etsy but I don't want to go through the hassle of setting up an account again is this will happen again. Has anyone experience anything similar?

If the business account was your only account with ebay, one of the many reasons accounts can be blocked from selling is association with any member already blocked.
By association it can be address, phone number, using a device used by another person already blocked, or allowing a blocked member to use your device.
Just guessing, but it might give you a clue.

OP6 months agoIt's alright and I have just spoken to them on the phone - can't believe they treat potential sellers like this so poorly to honest so I am happy not to be on the platform now.

Mentor6 months agoYOu should have received an email from ebay as to why they have restricted it there may be a code within the email eg MCO11 etc.

Ebay won't discuss why your account has been restricted. You simply have to accept that they don't want you as a seller.

as eBay have restricted your account indefinitely you cannot open another account.
