Ebay owes me money for return postage

Ebay owes me money for the return postage (£25.30) I had to pay myself due to a fault in the Ebay process itself. How do I actually contact an Ebay person for resolution of this. All the Ebay help links just take you “round the houses” or in a circle and there is no way of describing the exact problem. The dialogues all assume that any process fault is with the buyer or seller and not Ebay. Here the issue is with Ebay. How do I actually contact Ebay in this case?

You could have described it here! Instead, you have left us to try to work out how you "had to pay" for return postage that was not your responsibility?
The rules are simple. The buyer pays the return postage for a "change of mind" return, the seller is required to pay if the item didn't match the description.
If there was a fault in the process it should have been up to the seller to resolve it, with eBay. If you complied with eBay's conditions and timelines, why would they have told you that it was up to you as the buyer to pay? Unless they did there is no way that eBay will refund you this cost.
If you bought it from abroad but through ebay.co.uk you should still have been covered for the cost of return postage for an item that was not as described. (Although you might have had to contact eBay support if any problems.)
If you bought this item through another national eBay site it's possible that different conditions might apply. There could be other loop holes that I've overlooked, but how do you expect us to help if you don't explain what happened?

With returns either the seller has to provide a label or for change of mind returns buyer has to pay. How come you think ebay owes you money as they do not pay for postage?
