Ebay losing the plot
Summary: stevetheboat expresses frustration with being required to pay for return postage if buyers are unhappy with items, despite accurate descriptions and images. They argue this new policy from a sales platform is unfair and consider raising prices to cover potential costs, which might harm sales. After 25 years of operating, they are contemplating leaving the platform due to these challenges.
Is it me, there are a lot of sellers small companies who make just enough to tick over, just lately we are now being hit by having to pay for the postage if the buyer does not like the item, we cannot create a new item unless we agree to pay for them to return the item through no fault of our own, I think ebay have lost the plot, yes if wrong item sent, yes if it got damaged I understand we the seller has to pay, but to pay because the seller did not like it even though the pictures and description is crystal clear is totally mad and totally wrong the only way to cover this is to put up the price just in case they dont like it madness!! we then lose sales, after 25yrs am seriously thinking of pulling out.
