Ebay just gets worse and worse - quality of buyers is at an all tiem low

What is happening with ebay, the buyers are terrible. I am a personal seller not a business seller (although we are treated the same by ebay), its just a waste of time now, at least 50% or more of my sales have been cancelled this year alone, due to lack of understanding by buyers, terrible buyers and other time wasters. Its a joke, thinking of leaving this platform as the sellers get 0 protection and just waste a lot of time, are there any better platforms to sell on, if I am based in the UK ?
Also the way ebay now doesn't charged comm but just charges a spread is awful, all the prices look weird.

If you mean what I think you mean, it is the buyer protection fee. A very badly thought out scheme for buyers and sellers, confusing to most but no doubt very profitable for ebay.
As an example, if I list an item at £5, and it sells, buyer pays £5.45.I get £5.
If buyer instead had offered £5, that is what he pays and seller gets something like £4.60
Example may be a few pence wrong due to me working out the buyer protection fee.
