eBay item description issues

I have great difficulty listing items for sale because entering descriptions is so erratic. Whether I manually enter a description or use AI eBay rejects the listing if it includes any punctuation at all. Special characters are one thing, but no full stops or commas is ridiculous. Other anomalies with descriptions I find are:
The first listing attempt is rejected by default, and the reason is always the description. However, if I copy the description before submitting it then paste it into the template for another submission, it accepts it and lists the item!
If I revise an item it deletes its description, but after amendment is finished, on clicking save it will list anyway without any description!
Is there a reason entering item descriptions is this erratic? And is there a way to fix this issue?

I thought it was impossible to list blank, but as the words “sellers description” are there it is not blank.
Just a suggestion when using copy and paste, having pasted in the description, copy it again and click on the description box. This solved a similar problem I had.

OP3 weeks agoYou must have looked at one of the items I listed after making an amendment. Some times I add or remove images, and after selecting revise the original description is deleted automatically. No idea why eBay does this, but it does. I didn't even notice the items had had their descriptions removed at first. That's how I found out it was possible to list items with no description added by the seller when making item revisions.
Would you have any idea why eBay will not allow me to use any kind of punctuation in my descriptions?
