Ebay is protecting a scammer who scammed me and will scam others

I bought part that said it was for a Renault master. When I received it I checked to see if it would fit but it did not and seems to be made for a different vehicle than what it was advertised for as the bolt holes and the part dimensions meant there was no way it could not be fitted to my Renault master van
The part was advertised as a SPARE WHEEL CARRIER RELEASE MECHANISM FOR RENAULT MASTER - 572119028R (Item number: 168165853782)
Believing the seller had just sent the wrong part I asked to return but the seller declined.
After some research using AI I found that the Renault part number 572119028R in the sellers description was actually for a Renault master steering rack and nothing to do with a spare wheel carrier mechanism, I also noted that the part had a label on which also showed the same number so it looks to have been mislabelled by "someone"
I reported all this to eBay to stop anyone else receiving the wrong part and being scammed but twice, once by AI and secondly by an advisor, ebay said they would do nothing and the seller is still selling it on eBay.
It would be easy for eBay to search the Renault part number in the description and see it does not relate to the sellers description but they have failed to do so and so I have been scammed out of £69.99 and other buyers will be too.
I am at a loss to know what to do next so I am hoping someone here can help.

Mentor2 weeks agoImam afraid that if you had correctly used the 30 day money back guarantee younwould not have been scammed.
Ebay provide the tools, it is up to buyers to use them.

Mentor2 weeks ago · EditedThere is nothing now that you can do on ebay. You should have opened a case using the 'not as described' reason, within 30 days of receipt. I suspect you used 'does not fit', private seller accounts can reject those cases.
