Ebay help never recieved refund and case been closed

Question

I bought an item i was told it had already been sold i recieved a 2.60 refund for postage but never recieved the £260 return for the item it spoke with Ebay and with the seller and it has gone on and on Ebay has closed the return but I have not recieved a refund

There are strict procedures to follow when requesting a refund for an item not received.

The important thing is not to listen to seller's excuses and promises as this can lead , and it seems it has here, to going over the time for escalating the case to eBay. With no action, no escalation by the buyer, the cases times out, and closes.

Another for the same item cannot be opened with eBay.

You'll need to turn to your payment provider now, for help with your refund.

“closed the return” If you opened a return case, what sort, you have nothing to return so not surprised the case is closed. You should have opened. Not Received Case!!

If you opened a case for item not received it should not be possible for the seller to do a partial refund.
