Ebay evri SCAM
Summary: totalclearance2021 shared a frustrating experience with a delivery service, Evri, and eBay. They reported that a package was falsely marked as delivered, and despite appealing and contesting the decision, they were unable to receive a refund or compensation. The issue involved a lack of proof of delivery and ineffective support from both Evri and eBay. totalclearance2021 expressed disappointment and plans to take the matter to small claims court, advising others to avoid using eBay's link with Evri.
Evri marked my purchase down as delivered, it wasn't so i opened an appeal, it got refused i contested this and was refused again . Then after many emails asking for the proof of delivery as I know the lical delivery guys and they never seen my parcel evri finally admitted it was falsely marked as delivered when it was not
This is part of the email below.
After reviewing the tracking system, I can confirm that the parcel was marked as delivered on 02/09/2026 at 23:59. However, upon checking the GPS data, we were unable to determine the exact delivery location, and unfortunately, no photo was provided as proof of delivery. Based on this, I’m treating this delivery as a false scan, which means that there’s been an error in the tracking process.
Now ebay will not even allow me to reopen my request they say the matter is resolved and basically go away. I cannot even make a formal complaint as they dont have that option or they told me this in the chat.
Evri say contact the vendor we dont give refunds or compensation. And I have lost £110 item that the seller and me paid buyer protection and signed for on delivery plus tracking.
I have wasted so much time and stress and I feel like they are running a scam where the purchaser has no way to get their money back.
I used to live ebay and have spent £1000s but can honestly say I will never buy anything over £20 again cannot stand they way they treat customers and will now have to try the small claims court against them and evri .
Avoid using the ebay evri link as it can be a nightmare
