Ebay declined using my balance for any item
Hi, I tried twice to purchase items well under my balance but each time when it's auto filled for taking from balance I get a red pop up saying it can't be used. It's not the items as one was cotton tap filters. eBay allow me to transfer my balance to my bank but not used it to purchase on eBay? Driving me mad. Anyone know any reasons, seems like a glitch as no reason for it? Thanks

Mentor2 weeks agoI suggest that you click on "eBay help" on any page and enter "can i pay for items using my credit balance on ebay"
The general answer is yes, you can, but there are some exceptions which you need to be aware of.

Mentor2 weeks agoMay be a glitch but to be honest always better NOT to pay with eBay balances as your consumer rights etc are more limited using the balance on eBay. You have no recourse for matters, if things step outside the 30 day zone that you potentially do if paying with a debit or credit card for example.

Mentor2 weeks agoIt is very convenient, but worth knowing the disadvantages.
When a member gets over the 30 days for opening a case, we usually recommend contacting payment provider, but basically there is no payment provider, as it is your own money, and ebay would not be interested as out of time.

Mentor2 weeks agoCheck that your account setup is updated to include valid UK Addressed/Based Banking details (not internet/ website Banks) on file in order to send, receive and request payments using these links> --- Best use a PC/Laptop to make the changes --- can take a few days to verify >
