Ebay charging me fees for items they prevented me from selling
I listed a brand new iPhone i wanted to sell on ebay, then promoted it at maybe 12% (on a different account). Ebay then banned me after the item sold and froze my funds, meaning i could not complete the sale. I then refunded the customer and now ebay are trying to charge me £100 in fees for and item they prevented me from completing the sale of. Payments have been bouncing back and fourth and I'm not sure what to do as support completely ignore me.

Mentor7 months agoI think you will find that in the user agreement you have agreed to pay those fees.

OP7 months agoSo eBay is just out here debt trapping people? They had no reason to ban my account and refused to give any reasoning. They won't see a penny of it

Mentor7 months agoTruly, this is a dangerous path in not paying fees that are due to eBay.
As said, they do use debt collectors you certainly don't want that on your record.
If you are not sure what these fees were for, see if the breakdown of your transactions help, link below.

If the fee is showing there come back to us with it, if there's still a query.

Mentor7 months agoSome fees such as listing fees, are non refundable payable sale or no sale. For instance if you had reserves on the item, it's an expensive optional listing upgrade costing 4% of your set reserve, and will need to be paid asap, as eBay do use debt collectors.
You need to contact Customer Services and ask how to pay those fees.
To Contact Customer Services I strongly recommend using the link below for a Call Back option, and call as close to 8 a.m. on weekdays as possible, as there's more chance then, of Dublin answering.
