eBay balance unavailable for payments

Have a positive eBay balance and this is being offered as a payment method to purchase items but when I try to use it I keep getting a message that says "Your payment didn't go through. choose another payment method"

Why can't I use my healthy eBay balance?

Thanks for that.

Have used my eBay balance over the past few days to purchase items and have also withdrawn some to my bank account. Both of these worked perfectly so can't understand why this morning eBay is not allowing me to use my eBay balance to pay for purchases.

Available funds are transferred to your selected Bank account on file ---

Check that your Bank account is correctly registered for Managed Payments and funds are not put on Hold >
