Ebay balance lost
Hi. I’ve recently attempted to use my eBay balance (£67) as part payment, along with Apple Pay towards a purchase. There was an issue and the transaction failed. Second attempt -worked when I covered the full payment through my bank payment option.
Sadly now my balance states zero but my £67 credit was never used.
I took screen shots and kept email details.
anyone know the best course of action? The help bots aren’t helping. Thanks

OP6 months agoThanks for the advice and I’d hoped it would provide a solution. Sadly it didn’t as after a protracted 45 minute conversation, it would appear to be too complicated to resolve and not eBay’s problem. Very disappointing.

Mentor6 months agoAfter a week is your Balance still showing zero? The wheels on eBay turn slowly, when there's any money to come back, is required! 🙄
If still at zero, and I know you've had a fruitless conversation with CS, but they are the only peeps who can help you here, as they have full access to your account, which we of course as members, don't.
I strongly recommend contacting Customer services at 8 a.m. on a weekday as there's more chance then of Dublin answering, only speak to them, it's a Call Back so you'll hear if it's the dulcet tones from the Emerald Isles.
Use this link.

Good luck, hopefully you'll come back to us with a successful result ! 🤗

OP6 months agoIt’s so frustrating. I spoke to three CS reps in total during the call and the first two were Dublin based and very bright, professional - delightful actually.
The third rep just couldn’t grasp the issue and after about ten ‘holds’ blamed my bank.
I’ve tried to escalate by email with screenshots in hope that this might assist.
We’ll see.

Mentor6 months agoWhat did CS , in particular Dublin actually say? Any idea where the money is or was it used in purchase after all ?
No point sending in emails to eBay they do not respond to matters like these via emails.
