eBay automated assistant happy to accept false item descriptions

Mentor6 months agoAI again, lots of reports come back the same.
As ebay never see the item, they never know if report is true.
If you received this item, open item not as described case for full refund.

Mentor6 months agoLooking at feedback, looks like you are too late to return item, has to be within 30 days.
Always check items on delivery.

OP6 months agofor hospital treatment for two cancers on 25days = 5 calendar weeks which
prevented me getting my car in to garage for repair. My request to the
supplier was whether they would be willing to accept return even at a
discount.
Whether I checked the item promptly is not relevant when the published
description is wrong, and that is the matter I raised with eBay.

TBH.
Although it may be cheaper to buy part yourself,
if you get garage to supply and fit parts, any issues are theirs.

OP6 months agothey could not source from their usual suppliers so I agreed to look around.
I did buy on a credit card but I consider this my problem and not theirs.
I will try reselling. The supplier suggested I put it back on eBay using
their description! I turned that suggestion down and will describe it
accurately.
