Ebay as normal promising to phone and never do on a serious issue

I listed an item i had bought off ebay originally , with the cost of living crisis needed to sell it , straight forward NO , Ebay took it off saying it was Counterfeit even though I had bought it off their platform originally, I dont like to be accused of Fraud , spent 58 minutes talking to someone who shouldn't even be working as they didnt have a clue , got transferred 3 times , promised a call back which never came because Ebay just aren't bothered , as its a libel issue against me I was trying to sort it out amicably but with them ignoring me as expected I have informed BBC RIP OFF BRITAIN , anyone got a contact number for Ebay or an email which is sent to a human ?? And if Ebay if you are reading this contact me now before I take the issue to court as your counterfeit claim is libel and I have the proof.

MentorAug 12, 2026 at 12:40 PM · EditedThat wouldn't be classified as libel, a defamatory statement generally has to be communicated to at least one person other than the claimant and, unless it went through eBay's Authenticity Guarantee programme and passed I feel that you may be a bit stuck here.
Sometimes brand owners exercise their verified rights ownership (VeRO) and ask for their items to be removed from the online selling sites, in which case eBay must comply. When this happens it does trigger that counterfeit message, which may be incorrect.
May I ask what kind of item it is?
If you want to contact eBay in a legal manner their address is on the front page of the eBay User Agreement, and legal letters can be sent there.

MentorAug 13, 2026 at 12:16 PM · EditedI very much doubt if Madonna or WEA are policing eBay, sounds to me like somebody (another eBayer) has reported it for reasons only known to them, and AI has made a decision there. I'd go to Discogs and post a photo of the vinyl's matrix number there and see what they say. If they say it's fine then I'd throw the ball in eBays court and ask why they believe it to be counterfeit product.
There are some good business record sellers who often post on Seller Central. A photo there may also be useful to get some more opinions from people who are knowledgable in their field.
I'm assuming its not a bootleg/unofficial picture disc?
