Does anyone know how to contact someone senior at Ebay UK?
Summary: dougthehead is seeking advice on how to contact someone senior at eBay UK. There are a few responses, including from tobiasd4, red_magpie, and john1297576, but the content of these responses is not visible in the discussion.
my account has been "permanently suspended" and i cant find out why? originally i was restricted and advised i needed to provide tracking for all of my orders to confirm delivery. All of my items were shipped using ebay labels (so tracking already on account) and were authentication guarantee items so were also confirmed as received.
Then an email advising i am permanently restricted from selling "because activity we believe was putting the Ebay community at risk"
still none the wiser i contacted an agent via live chat who reiterated this but couldnt/wouldnt advise on what/why, which transaction etc etc. All of my sales have passed Authentication, returns also pass via them and there is no problems there.
I'm genuinely confused as to what's happened and to add insult to injury ebay will be holding my account balance (several thousand £ ) for 190 days.

Mentor4 months agoI would think that ebay are not happy with so many high value items being sold by a private seller.

Mentor4 months agoYou would need to start by contacting customer support. As you have found, they often won't disclose the reason for a permanent restriction. This is frustrating, but I can see that there can be circumstances where this is necessary. For example, when eBay restricts an account because they associate it with another account that has been restricted. Typically, this could be a member with an account registered at the same address, or who had used the same connected device to log in to eBay. It would be hard to explain why without revealing confidential information about the other user's account.
You can ask CS to transfer you to someone more senior, but good luck. Other users in the same situation have often told us that eBay just puts the phone down.

Mentor4 months agoEbay rarely tell you reason for suspension and permanently means just that.
My guess is the amount of high value items you were selling.
Although if they passed authentication they are obviously not fake.

OP4 months agoTotally, i only sold via A.G. as it provided a safe way for me to sell and not be defrauded by scam buyers but that protection goes both ways - i cant see how ebay or buyers are at risk at all let alone so severe that they ban me.
