Dishonest buyer
Summary: molelike! expressed concerns about a buyer claiming a missing item from a delivery where multiple items were shipped together without individual tracking. I have a buyer that has brought from me many times around 27 items in total , posted in 4 parcels. The second parcel sent contained 3 orders he had purchased over 3 days so I posted in one parcel which was confirmed delivered , he has now opened a case stating one of the items was not delivered and I cannot show tracking as was packaged with two others , he is not responding to messages , if I send the tracking no. For the delivery it of course relates to another item , what can I do as I suspect he will next question the other item in the same delivery

Sent another message to this chancer just to try something ,
Told him I have more stock coming and listed a few fictitious bits ,
And guess what an hour later I get an email to say he has closed the case !
He seriously believes I will sell to him again , class act eh

Mentor3 weeks agoUnfortunately, as the tracking for that one item will not show delivery you would have to refund the buyer. That's why it's always best to combine correctly, if necessary cancelling transactions and relisting on one listing with one postage. Or sending the item separately.
Don't forget to put his ID on your blocked bidder list.

Mentor3 weeks ago · EditedWere you supplied with more than one postage label? Only asking because eBay have a new feature whereby you can hold back from getting a label and posting if a buyer is bidding on/buying more than one of your items and this should then generate just the one label.
If not, and you say that your buyer is a regular one, it seems odd that they would open a spurious claim, knowing that you'll be blocking them from bidding/buying from you again.
Have you told them that the 3 orders were all shipped together?

OP3 weeks agoThere was no combined postage option which was weird so there was 3 consignments in one with only the one tracking label , he is fully aware it was posted together and has made purchases since , I have sent him screenshot of the tracking and confirmation of delivery but of course no response , personally I think he is trying his luck as I have no more in stock of what he was buying

OP3 weeks agoThe irritating thing is at one point I had all three sales ready to post onscreen clearly from same buyer and there was no way or option , prompt or anything to combine ?

Mentor3 weeks agoDIY combining comes with the risk to the seller that you have experienced. You should have used all three labels.
