Didn't deliver
Summary: ma-336784 expressed frustration over a book not delivered from an eBay transaction, despite the seller claiming it was sent and allegedly providing tracking details. eBay has closed the case, leaving ma-336784 without the book or evidence of delivery. tressygirl suggested that possibly the book was stolen if left in a safe place and recommended contacting the payment provider for further action since eBay won't reopen the case.
I ordered a book, it was not delivered, I contacted Ebay and followed procedures. The seller maintains that it was sent and alleges tracking details to say it was delivered to me. I have had absolutely no record of any such delivery, neither have I been given evidence of the so called tracking details. Ebay now deems the case closed; I've paid for a book I didn't get.
1 Any suggestions as to what I can do?
I can't get hold of the seller. This is my first dealing with eBay and will be my last.

Mentor3 weeks agoA few things will close a case for item not received.
It will close if the seller enters a valid tracking number showing delivery, or the buyer forgets to escalate.
It seems the former here applies to you. Could it have been left in a ' safe' place , books may be too thick to go through a letter box, and was stolen? Happens all the time.
The eBay case is closed you cannot open another for the same item with eBay. You could try your payment provider , see how they handle this tracking number.
